Acacia Enables Older Adults to Live More Independently

Serving frail older adults for 30 years with a diverse range of disabilities in a beautiful, easily accessible location in central Orange County, this location lends itself to a rich diversity of individuals coming from 23 cities located in Orange County and bordering communities in Los Angeles. Both Adult Day Care and Adult Day Health Care programs are offered to enable frail older adults, persons with Alzheimer’s disease, related types of dementia, and disabled individuals to live more independently in their community. The Adult Day Care program offers therapeutic activities, transportation to and from the facility, a lunch and snack program, educational classes, exercise, gardening, fall prevention classes, and the opportunity to socialize with peers. The Adult Day Health Care program offers all of the above plus nursing supervision, medication monitoring, physical, occupational, speech and maintenance therapies, nutritional counseling, counseling, physician and pharmaceutical review, and case management.

Acacia understands the important responsibility caregivers have to their older adult family members. Our trained staff members are committed to providing our client families with the highest quality services in a safe and caring environment. As a caregiver, you will be comfortable knowing that your loved one is at Acacia, living more independently in a safe, supervised setting. Family support groups are offered in English and Vietnamese in Garden Grove and Alzheimer support groups in Cypress.

The agency is licensed and monitored by the California Departments of Health Services and Aging. It is also funded in part by the County of Orange Office on Aging, and Orange County’s United Way.
