RIO Fullerton is part of a large non-profit that has been providing services to the disabled population since 1950. The Adult Day Health Care program offers a restorative and maintenance rehabilitation/medical services in a structured, outpatied day program setting. Services include physical, occupational, and speech therapies; nursing care; cognitive retraining exercises; nutritional counseling; pharmacy consultation, recreation and socialization. A hot lunch is served daily. The program is designed for adults experiencing a decrease in functioning primarily due to brain injury, stroke, dementia, developmental disability, psychiatric disability, or other neurological condition. The program also has support groups and a children’s program is also on-site.
