Age Well Senior Services

Age Well Senior Services is a licensed health care facility providing both day care and health care services to older adults. Health care, social services, therapeutic and recreational activities are provided in a safe, homelike setting where participants spend the day.  The center was initially opened in 1988 as the Adult Day Health Care Center of Laguna Hills. Our programs provide specialized care that allows a frail older adult or a person with disabilities to live more independently in the community and prevent or delay placement into a nursing home. 

Our professional and skilled staff is comprised of licensed and/or certified clinicians in the fields of nursing, social work, physical therapy, occupational therapy, music therapy and activities.  Support services are also provided to families and caregivers. 

Adult Day Care programs help seniors remain at home by offering individual and group services in a supervised setting. They assist family or other caregivers in maintaining full or part-time work, provide necessary respite, and offer cost effective alternatives to in-home caregivers and institutionalization.

General services Include:

• Supervision during the day to insure safety
• Door to door transportation
• Continental breakfast, full hot lunch and afternoon snack
• Exciting activities
• Help in coping with physical and emotional problems
• Small groups for participants with memory loss and cognitive challenges
• Although we provide services for a wide range of age related conditions, our Adult Day Health Care Services are especially appropriate for those who need:
• Physical, Occupational, Speech, and Psychological therapy designed to maintain function
• Preventative care to avoid deterioration including dispensing and administering medications
• Assistance in self-care activities
• Nutrition consultation

Supervised Recreational Activities Include:

• Arts & Crafts
• Group Excercise
• Bingo & Pokeno
• Music Therapy/ Pet Therapy
• Social & Educational Activities
• Special Outings
• Special Multi-Culltural & and Spiritual Group Activities

South County Adult Day Services also offers a Care Giver Support Group at least twice monthly free of charge and open to the general public.  Care and supervision of your loved one is provided during the group.
