Keep a To Do list handy. In addition to helping you organize your day, you will have a list ready at hand when your family, friends or neighbors offer to help. Things such as stopping off at the dry cleaners or picking up stamps or prescriptions may be a big effort for you, particularly if you have to take the loved one you are caring for along for the ride, but easy for others. Let someone else cook a meal or stay with your loved one so you can get a night out with friends.
